Once when Brahmadatta was ruling in Benares (Kasi) Lord Buddha, Boddhisatta born as a antelope. He used to wander in the forest and depend on the forest fruits.
 One day in search of food he was wandering in the forest ,and depend of a tree named seppanni-tree.
In near village there was a hunter who used to made platform on trees due to which deer coming to tree foot in search of fruit were shot by javelin, Those flesh he sold for living.
Lord Buddha Jataka story goes further. One day he marked the tracks of Boddhisatta. He prepared himself with his javelin. Boddhisatta saw but he was not in hurry. He understood the tricks and start searching hunter.When his eyes saw at the top of some distance; he saw hunter there, but he pretended as he had not seen him.
Hunter hurled his javelin but he missed the Boddhisatta.
