Nalapana Jataka(Alertness)

                                                                                       

In ancient times it is said that  Lord Buddha took birth of a monkey having head of more than eighty thousand monkeys and leading them.

They reside near Kosala in a thick forest.In that forest there lived a water- ogre also.

 Lord Buddha Jataka reminded everyone that there are several poisonous trees hence their fruit is also poisonous.

One day that day came, after the wandering of whole they all collected sitting down .They all were thirsty.But Lord Budddha Jataka, Boddhisata stopped all of them because they only saw footprints going towards the lake but not any footprints of returning.

But when the ogre saw them not entering to his net he appeared with a monster look and appeared before Lord Buddha Jataka, Boddhisatta. He urged to go to the lake but, Boddhisatta understand his tricks and stopped everyone to go to the lake as it was haunted by a ogre.

Lord Buddha said ogre that they will drink water but not we will caught into his tricks.

They said that they all eighty thousand will not drink water together .but all of us take a cane and will drink there with from his lake.

 This Lord Buddha Jataka story tells us about the alertness .
