Matakbhatta Jataka (Non-Violence)

                                                                            

In the reign of  Brahmdatta in Benares(Kasi) city,there was a brahmin .He was expert in three vedas. One day he decided to sacrifice a goat for feast for a dead person. He said his pupil to take away bathe to the goat and preparing for sacrifice.

Lord Buddha Jataka Story goes further.

Young pupil saw goat, firstly laughing and then weeping loudly. He asked to the goat why he is laughing and weeping after that.Goat replied that he id laughing because due to the wrong deeds of past he is living a miserable life,and going to be free at this time but what will happen to the brahmin who is going to bear this misery on own shoulder.So why he is weeping.

When young pupil went to brahmin he said to him all about this. Then brahmin decided to leave the goat.

But when the brahmin left goat he said that he is going to die one or another way.But the brahmin consoled him to guard.
